ENGELBERG, SWITZERLAND
Engelberg makes a great weekend retreat for the residents of Lucerne, less than an hour away. Despite impressive and distinctive mountains towering 2000m above the village, it attracts few foreign visitors - partly, we guess, because its slopes are rather inconveniently fragmented.
