Madonna is rather like Cortina - a pleasant Dolomite town with an affluent, almost exclusively Italian, clientèle. In contrast adjoining Folgarida and Marilleva, with which Madonna shares its slopes, have a lot of foreign, mainly British, school and group visitors.
